In the book Macbeth we have talked a lot about fate. The witches act as fortune tellers in telling what us whats to come, and all the characters become effected by them. In the beginning they tell Macbeth and his friend Banquo what their lives will soon be like. Macbeth becomes greedy and starts to abuse his knowledge of his future. They both try to stop parts of what the witches told them, but despise their efforts the fortune always comes true. This is all hand in hand with the big idea of fate.
Even though Macbeth and the other important characters in the book try to change the events that the witches predict to come its impossible, I believe this has to do with real life as well. Even though there aren't witches in life that tell us what our futures are going to be, I think that when we start out in life we have a plan in what is to happen in the future and it's not really changeable.

I agree with your thoughts about our fate. Even as we grow up and change, our fate does not, but that does not allow us to only open our ears to the words we choose to hear.
